I recently relocated to SF. Recently as in 3 days ago.
My fiance and I have been trying to move here for a couple years but struggled with the timing. In fact, when we first started dating I was interviewing with Heroku.
Both of us have lived in the North West for over 10 years and we’ve really been looking for a change. Change of climate, change of atmosphere and really we wanted to challenge ourselves in the fast-paced, competitive startup culture. But either she was just starting a job and I was ready to move, or she was ready to move and I had just started a job.
Fall of last year we finally decided that there was never going to be a perfect time to move. We’d apply to some great companies in the Bay area and if one of was hired, we’d uproot and move.
So here we are! We’re ecstatic to be here and really looking forward to the challenges the lie ahead. Drop me a line if you want to meetup and talk startups. I’m new in town and looking for friends :)
